We are usually working on confirming this achievement of other scouts. The following are scouts we have heard of but are currently unconfirmed. Most often we are awaiting the specific details of their achievement. If you know of any information on these scouts, please contact us or direct these scouts to contact us.

1. Dan Bates of Heber City, Utah. Earned all merit badges in the 1960s or 1970s.
2. Alex Cross of Orem, Utah. Earned all merit badges in the 2000s.
3. Larry Johnson of Glendale, Arizona. Earned all merit badges in 1960.
4. Jeremiah Johnston of Riverside, California. Earned 119 merit badges in 1997.
5. William Lockard of Decatur, Alabama. Earned 128 merit badges in 1991.
6. Ray Miller of Moscow, Idaho. Earned the Eagle rank in 1978 and 112 merit badges with 10 Eagle Palms.
7. Coby Ramsey of Rock Springs, Wyoming. Earned all merit badges in the 1980s.
8. James Ray, location unknown. Earned all merit badges in the 1950s, 1960s, or 1970s.
9. John Stanford of Limestone, New York. Earned 142 merit badges.
10. Nate Szejniuk of Montgomery, Alabama. Earned 119 merit badges.
11. David Witte of Cedar Hills, Utah. Earned all merit badges in the 1990s.
12. Donald Witte of Cedar Hills, Utah. Earned all merit badges in the 1990s.
13. Name Unknown of Northern Ohio or vicinity. Earned all merit badges in the 1940s.

"Earning all of the merit badges" can be somewhat of an ambiguous phrase and cause confusion when reviewing a list such as this where scouts have earned various numbers of merit badges. Generally, we consider a scout to have earned "all of the merit badges" if they earn those merit badges on the list of currently offered by BSA. The primary cause of number differences on this list is due to the fact that from time to time BSA will remove merit badges from the currently offered list and add new merit badges to the list. Also, another cause for these number differences is because BSA has yet to "discontinue" a merit badge. They simply take them off the currently offered list. Scouts who desire to earn merit badges no longer on the current list can do so by completing the most recent requirements of the merit badge. They will simply need to look beyond the local scout shop for the merit badge patch!
